web search engines...

No idea how to use these thingies??
Well, its easy. Click on one of them, type in a few words in the space provided.. something that could describe what you're looking for, like, say, a name, or, whatever.. a keyword or two... and with some practice you'll find out how to find what you're looking first time, every time. AskJeeves is pretty good at answering english questions about most you would try to think of. If you need somthing like the yellow pages, try Yahoo. Excite can be browsed too, and it's one of my fave's for just doing searches for anything. all4one Is pretty cool cuz you can view the output of 4 different search engines with one query, so try it out and pick a favorite search engine. I've never really used InfoSeek a lot, neither Lycos which allows keyword searches with boolean operators like AND and OR. Webcrawler.. i dont think ive ever used this one. Altavista is pretty good.

Oh, if you're looking for free software for your pc, be sure to include words like warez, free, download, and whatever software it is you want. Oh, and try hotbot for that.
